Morning sickness seems to be letting up a bit. Rather than feeling like I have the flu 24 hours a day, I now get a bit of a break. I typically feel sick until about 8 or 9 AM, then start to feel better until around 3 or 4 PM, when I start to head downhill again. And then I'm always sick during the night. But I'll take it, it's a lot better than the 24 hours stuff I was dealing with before!
That being said, Baby Rice got me up around 4:00 this morning. I just felt so sick, and I didn't want to keep tossing and turning and waking Kevin because he has a cold and needs sleep. So I'm just sitting on the sofa, eating saltines, cuddling with Ruby, and listening to Glee songs online. Things are finally settling down in my tummy - of course, now that I have to get up in half an hour to go take care of the nephews.
I've started talking to the baby - silly, I know. It's basically just talking to myself at this point. And I sing to it too. I don't think I'll be a typical lullaby Mom. But this baby will hear plenty of Coldplay and the like.
I'm celebrating with you that you have some moments without "morning" sickness. What a relief! Maybe those moments will continually be a larger part of your days. After all, how much time do we really need to spend on the bathroom floor to know what that bowl looks like? It's a hoot reading your blog, dear daughter. Can't wait to see a photo. Hugs to all, Mom2
